Transitioning from ATraq Desktop
We have developed an API that is able to transfer most of the data from ATraq Desktop to the PocketBase database. As the new ATraqII may not even be on the same network, we have decided not to connect to the SQL database through ConnectionManager.info We will use the details provided in the installation form filled out prior to the installation for the retreiving the connection information.
The fields that will be transferred from the MS SQL of ATraq Desktop to PocketBase will be as follows:
- Alarm Types
- Agreement Types
- Account Types
- Protocol Types
- Protocols
- Customer Accounts
- Site Accounts
- Panels
- Panel Models
- Report Shorcuts
- Installers
- Note Categories
- Signal Types
- Protocol Description
- Default Holidays
- Special Situation
- Open/Close times
- Important Contacts
- Site Notes
- Site Zones
- Special Situation Contacts
We will NOT be transferring the signals table from ATraq Desktop to ATraqII as these two tables are not compatible with each other. To handle past signals of ATraq for any type of referrence, you will need to use the ATraq Desktop for a few months until it is no longer needed.
The reason that we haven't transfered the users of the sites as well is because each individual must approve their details and sign a contract for the service individually. So we have to make sure that they all accept legally for us to handle their information. We do have a seperate API to send the users all a CAP (Contact Administration Protocol) message and have them individually register.
